A Warm Welcome!

Hello and a warm welcome to my Instagram followers! Maryzeeni Creates was born 6 years ago when I joined Instagram as a late comer and never looked back. It was a name chosen to inspire my daughter and hopefully pass the legacy of cooking on to her. Since then, I have enjoyed the wonderful world of food bloggers, chefs, recipe feeds and cooking reels on this platform.

My love and passion for cooking emerged from a young age when I used to watch my mother, auntie's and women in the ancestral villages cook food with great pleasure whilst socialising with their friend's and family. It always brought a huge smile to my face to witness love & bond of preparing and cooking food together. I still find this so special and sacred whenever I get my daughter involved in the kitchen. We make special memories together that I am sure one day she will create with her own children. It is a form of creative art, a flair for food only the foodie's like myself can identify with. With this love and passion for cooking, I have done my stunts in the kitchen as Assistant Chef at House of Fraser in my University summer break long time ago and few years ago I briefly worked in Leon Restaurants.

It has been my dream for so long to start my own recipe blog site to expand my own knowledge of diverse world of food cuisines especially focusing on Vegan, Vegetarian, Pescatarian and Flexitarian recipes. For those who don't know, a 'flexitarian' is relatively a new term coined for people like me who enjoy vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian food but sometimes can switch to meat. I don't think there is a set definition but as long as we are cutting down on animal meat consumption, that is a good start to a sustainable way of lifestyle. Definitely good for our health and good for the planet!

With this mind, I have a selection of my favourite recipes on my site for you to explore and recreate with your own unique twists. After all, Maryzeeni Creates is a community of like minded food enthusiasts whether young or old and it's all about experimenting in the kitchen with various recipes and flavours from around the world. Don't forget to take picture of your food creation, tag me and I will feature your photo in my story or feed post. So let's get cooking!
