Rinse the pack before opening.
Cut open and adjust salt to taste—the batter is lightly salted.
For Idlis: Stir well, pour into idli moulds, and steam for soft, fluffy idlis.
For Dosas: Mix in a little water, stir, and spread onto a hot pan for golden, crispy dosas. (Once diluted, the batter is best used only for dosas.)
Enjoy hot with your favorite chutney, sambar, or curry.
