Eligibility
- 12th pass (PCM) from recognised board
- English must have been one of the subjects
- Medically fit
- Eye vision (+ or - 2.5 acceptable)
- No color blindness
- Age 17.5 to 25 years
Course Outline
The training program is designed for the candidates who are desirous of perusing career in Deck category in merchant shipping and ought to become Deck officers or Navigation officers. Introduction to shipping industry, Familiarization with engine department of the ship Types of engine, Types of pumps, Fuel system, Maintenance & operation of machineries, Rebuilding an engine, Use of life saving appliances, Health hazards, Personal safety, Survival at sea, Swimming, Personality development English &Computer etc.
Certificates
Student after successfully accomplishing the training program will be awarded with the course certificate, by the academy approved, by Director General of Shipping, Ministry of Surface and Transport Govt. of India. In inclusion to the above candidate will also receive INDOS and foreign CDC (Continuous Discharge Certificate).
